OSHA #511 - Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry - Video Conference
The OSHA Directorate of Training and Education has given permission for RMEC to hold this course via live video conference, for those participants within Region VIII - which includes: Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota. We can only accept registrations for students within these states.
Participants must attend 100% of this training via computer with webcam, michrophone and speakers.
This course covers OSHA Standards, policies, and procedures in general industry. Topics include scope and application of the OSHA General Industry Standards, general industry principles and special emphasis on those areas in general industry which are most hazardous. Upon course completion students will have the ability to define general industry terms found in the OSHA General Industry Standards, identify hazards which occur in general industry, locate and determine appropriate OSHA General Industry Standards, policies, and procedures, and describe the use of OSHA General Industry Standards and regulations to supplement an ongoing safety and health program.
NOTE: If you are taking this class in order to apply to take the OSHA #501 Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the General Industry - remember the completion of the OSHA #511 course is only one part of the Trainer Course Prerequisite. The second part of the prerequisite is to have a minimum of 5 years of general industry safety experience.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR VIDEO CONFERENCE TRAINING - Cisco WebEx Platform
In order to participate in the virtual classroom courses being delivered by the Rocky Mountain Education Center, you must have all of the following system requirements:
a computer with at least 1 GB of RAM and a dual-core processor (you cannot us a cell phone for this training you MUST be on a computer);
a webcam capable of producing high-quality video. WebEx supports most webcams of this type;
Speakers and a microphone built-in or USB plug-in or wireless Bluetooth;
internet connection with sufficient bandwidth for video conferencing.
