The Ready to Work Academy is a two week intensive training course aimed at providing
students with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue a career as a HVAC / Facilities
Engineering Technician (FET).

Homes, office buildings, industrial plants, airplanes, cars and computer technology
all rely on complex HVAC systems to create and maintain safe, healthy and comfortable
living and working environments. Many industrial, medical, technical and commercial
processes also depend on sophisticated heating, cooling air quality and ventilation
systems. HVAC / FET technicians are problem solvers - experts who contribute to
making equipment work better, more efficiently, quicker, and less expensively. This
is the first step to acquire the skills of the HVAC / FET Journey-Technicians that
how the building as a system affects the health, safety, productivity and comfort
of the occupants. Also process, energy efficiency and profitability of the buildings
by the incorporation of these skills in how a building operates as a system. The
HVAC / FET Journey-Technicians are distinguished by promoting a holistic approach
to the building as a system. The HVAC / FET Journey-Technicians effectively free
the stranded energy and money that exists in buildings today.

Energy Efficiency for the Existing Built Environment
Hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday – Friday
Existing buildings offer tremendous opportunities to conserve energy and water as well as provide healthier, more productive work environments.
This market demand is strong for all workers at all levels of the built environment to keep up with new techniques in this energy efficiency economy.
Our Certificate Programs are made up of a series of topic-appropriate short course workshops to meet specific learning needs.
Our program features small, personalized classes with specialized, hands-on instruction in the best HVAC lab in Colorado.
Your certificate indicates that you possess the skills, knowledge and abilities that are in demand in the residential and commercial energy efficiency field today.
The Energy Efficiency Specialist is distinguished by promoting a holistic systems approach to energy efficient upgrades based on return on investment.
The Energy Efficiency Specialist effectively frees the stranded energy and money that exists in buildings today.
Classrooms are incorporated into lab areas and provide a comfortable learning environment. Labs are fully equipped with training units.
This Program Is For?
This program will appeal to those with a residential or commercial buildings background looking for focused, advanced training using a holistic approach to understanding the entire building as a system.
Student needs a working knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems representation, symbols, and scales. Students should possess residential or commercial buildings mechanical/electrical aptitude and have a working understanding of Microsoft Windows. The courses have been carefully designed to minimize the time spent on general academic upgrading. Math skills are necessary to calculate dimensions of facilities for load calculations and energy utilization. The student must have a 10 hour OSHA Card.
Applicants should have a minimum of one year of residential or commercial buildings background or a comparable combination of technical training and experience.
