The Ready to Work Academy is an 80 clock hour intensive training course focused in preparing students with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue careers in building maintenance and automation as HVAC or Infrastructure Technicians.


  • Class One - Topic: OSHA General Industry Safety and  Health 10-Hour card - Part One

  • Class Two - Topic: OSHA General Industry Safety and  Health 10-Hour card - Part Two

  • Class Three -Topic: Principles of Refrigeration & Gas  Laws

  • Class Four - Topic: EPA Section 608 Certification Training

  • Class Five - Topic: Service practices for handling  refrigerants and refrigerant reclamation Training for Section 608 Certification

  • Class Six - Topic: Review questions for Section 608  Certification - 608 Certification TEST

  • Class Seven - Topic: Use and Care of Hand Tools, Basic  Principles of Rigging and Basic principles of Maintenance

  • Class Eight - Topic: Basic principles of Electricity and Demonstration  of the Basic principles of Electricity

  • Class Nine - Topic: Communication, Listening and Time  Management

  • Class Ten - Topic: Role Playing to develop Communication  and Listening skills

  • We need Infrastructure Technicians, experts who make technical systems and our economy work.

Infrastructure Technicians are problem solvers - experts who contribute to making technical systems work better, more efficiently, quicker, and less expensively.

  • The first step is The Ready to Work Academy to acquire the basic maintenance skills of the  HVAC or Infrastructure Technician.

  • These skills affect the health,  safety, productivity, comfort, energy efficiency and profitability  of the economy.

  • The Infrastructure Technician  is distinguished by promoting a holistic approach to a system.

  • The Infrastructure Technician  effectively frees the stranded energy and money that exists in our economy today.
